The article addresses the role of tourist movement in defining Salta (Argentina) as a place. In order to do that, specific practices displacement (guided tours hired by tourists) were observed. As preliminary study, paper discusses traditional approaches guided highly standardized and prescribed experiences. And it also exposes active participation different actors that take part tours. addition, seeks contribute understanding places considering specially shape it.
